Below are some helpful tips for keeping calm in our current real estate market:
- Has a tendency to get emotional- you have expectations of me, the process, and the outcome.
- Can move quickly- I need you to be ready to view homes, show your home, and make/review offers.
- Come into real estate with a positive outlook, and flexibility, know what you want, and be prepared for extra expenses.

BIG DEAL!
Buying and selling a home is a BIG DEAL! If you are the seller, you want your house to sell for big bucks. If you are the buyer, you want the home purchased at a steal. While these wins may occur, this type of mentality or attitude won’t work well- it sets up expectations that may not work in the current market. Trust us!
We can all agree expectations lead to possible disappointment. We need you to be flexible with your expectations. Let’s have a plan as well as additional options. That keeps us all in the real estate game.
KNOW WHEN TO HOLD ’EM
Just like the famous Kenny Rogers song, “The Gambler”; we have to keep a ‘poker face’ when dealing with buying and selling. Letting your emotions run the show leads to trouble. Emotions have their place, but many times we are reactive instead of proactive. Part of our exceptional service to you comes in the form of real estate psychology. We have seen it all!
Many times, we must be reasonable when dealing with price, closing dates, and negotiations. Sometimes we can dangle a carrot by adding on extra’s to the offer, or a counteroffer. Applying pressure is a delicate matter and must be done with care. Nobody likes to be insulted.
TELL ME SWEET LITTLE LIES
Lying is something we won’t do. We expect the same from our clients- just tell the truth. Real estate is our life, our bread and butter. We jeopardize our careers and family when you ask us to lie, exaggerate or misrepresent a property. We can handle any situation as long as we are upfront and honest.
